It was gathered that some armed bandits reportedly stormed the Primary Health Centre located in the Oke Ijebu area of Akure, abducting no fewer than three health workers on duty on Saturday morning, striking at about 2 a.m. and whisked away the victims.

A patient at the PHC who gave an eyewitness account explained that the attackers arrived in a bus, forcefully entered the facility and took away the victims, while other health workers on duty luckily escaped.

The bandits were also said to have packed all the victims into the bus before driving off to an unknown destination.
