National Publicity Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Felix Morka has discredited the purported price list for the nomination forms for elective offices in the coming 2027 general elections.
He described the list as fake, false and misleading and asked the general public to discountenance it.
It would be recalled that as the party delegates were sweating it out at the Eagle Square, Abuja for its convention on Friday, the purported ‘price list’ for the expression of interest and nomination forms for the 2027 general elections surfaced.
The purported list which elicited conversations among the general public was circulated in sections of the media in which the highest office (President) was said to go for as high as Two hundred million Naira (N200m) and the State House of Assembly said to be the least would attract payment of Twenty million Naira (N20m).
In a statement issued in Abuja on Saturday by Morka, CON, he said the purported price list did not emanate from the party and urged party members to disregard it.
According to the statement, “the attention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been drawn to a false and misleading report circulating in sections of the media regarding a purported “price list” for expression of interest and nomination forms for the 2027 General Elections.
“The APC states categorically that the report is FAKE, and did not emanate from the Party. To be clear, no decision or announcement has been made on the sale or pricing of forms for the 2027 elections. The report is a mere figment of the writer’s mischievous imagination.
“We urge Party members, the media, and the general public to disregard the report in its entirety”, the statement added.
