The opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) faction loyal to the Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barr. Nyesom Wike on Sunday composed a 21- man National Working Committee (NWC) to steer the ship of the party for the next four years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the party’s National Convention held at the velodrome of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, the new officers emerged through consensus after the National Caretaker Committee was dissolved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Shortly before the weekend programme was held, the other faction of the party led by Kabiru Turaki was said to have approached the Supreme Court to restrain the rival faction from holding the National Convention, a step that could not achieve the desired result immediately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The new NWC members as composed at the Convention are Abdulrahman Mohammed, Aaron Chukwuemeka, Yusufu Akirikwen, Anyanwu Samuel, Kolawale Olabisi, Odeyemi Oladiran and Lado Marke as the National Chairman, Deputy National Chairman (South), Deputy National Chairman (North), National Secretary, Deputy National Secretary, National Treasurer and
Deputy National Treasurer respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Offices of National Financial Secretary, Deputy National Financial Secretary, National Organizing Secretary, Deputy National Organizing Secretary, National Publicity Secretary and Deputy National Publicity Secretary went to Eyim Henry, Grema Kyari, Umar Nature, Efere Augustine, Jungudo Mohammed and Egwu Chidiebere in that order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The new National Legal Adviser, Deputy, National Auditor, Deputy, National Women Leader, Deputy, National Youth Leader and Deputy are Kamaldeen Ajibade, Aloysius Uba, Osuoha Donatus, Adaba Seri Yatu, Ogunshe Adedayo, Hauwa Shingle, Ibrahim Aboki and Momoh Bashir respectively.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
