Ahead of the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Osun State, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state has finally settled for a telecommunication expert, Benjamin Adereti Kayode from Ife Central Local Government area of the state as it’s Deputy Governorship candidate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 48 year old politician replaces Lekan Olatunji, a former member of the Osun State House of Assembly, who had been nominated on February 16 as a placeholder for the deputy governorship slot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With this development unveiled by the party on Thursday in Osogbo, capital of the state, the new campaign slogan for the election is ‘AMBO-KAYODE’ 2026′.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kayode is widely recognized as a philanthropist and a telecommunications expert and his choice is expected to strengthen the party\u2019s ticket as it prepares for a highly competitive race in Osun State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was disclosed by the party that the selection aligns with the APC\u2019s strategy to balance regional representation and appeal to a broad electorate across the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
