Witnesses described a chaotic scene as the truck plunged off the road, leaving a trail of destruction and numerous others fighting for their lives in nearby hospitals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u200bOfficial Statements and Response<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u200bAuthorities have been quick to point toward human error as the primary cause of the carnage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u200b<strong>Bature Dawakin-Tofa<\/strong>, spokesperson for the Kano State government, pointed the finger at the driver&#8217;s behavior: \u200b&#8221;The crash was a direct result of reckless driving.
